Historic hotel: more than 380 years of hospitality
The “Gasthaus zur Sonne” was first documented in 1641. The distinctive tower from the 13th century, along with the over 300-year hospitality tradition of the Guggenbühl family, has made the Sonne a well-established institution in Küsnacht – a place that has remained vibrant to this day. In 1991, the hotel came into the possession of a family from Küsnacht.
Historic substance meets modern design elements
The architecture and furnishings of the hotel combine historic substance with modern design elements, making it a retreat that has welcomed guests from near and far to the shores of Lake Zurich for over 380 years.
